Origin: The Gond dynasty at one time occupied the mountainous tracts of central and southern India known as Gondwanaland. One of the largest tribal group in the country, the Gonds are mainly concentrated in Madhya Pradesh.

Occupation: Mainly agriculturalists or work as agricultural labour.
